Bill’s dogs are fine; if you would like to meet Muffin, visit the Hemmerling Gallery on Magazine St. She is living with Kallen & loving all the attention.

Thanks to everyone who made Bill’s funeral an outstanding memory. WOW! What an outpouring of love and affection shown by so many, many people. Those who attended will be touched forever by Bill’s extraordinary send off to heaven. Bill is well pleased.
Bill’s Prayer Garden will become outstanding with all of the plants that were sent to the visitation service at the Hemmerling Gallery on Magazine. We are transporting them to Ponchatoula so Jack and our sons can plant them. After just completing the landscaping and the new pond, Jack is getting to be quite a gardener. Those of you have expressed wishes to still be a part of the garden can send plants to 495 SW Railroad Ave. Ponchatoula, LA 70454
Our Lady of Guadaloupe Church and the gospel singers were amazingly soulful, such a fitting tribute to Bill who began his spiritual journey by kissing the bones of St. Jude over 25 years ago at the shrine in the church.
The Jazz Funeral procession following all of the old customs and traditions meticulously produced by Quint Davis of Jazz Fest was over the top extraordinary, the type of second line celebration offered only to those of celebrity status. There was a Preservation Hall 15 member band and 15 men from the Social Aid and Pleasure Club. At the moment we reached the St. Louis Cathedral, the Noon church bells were ringing. What syncronisity. More details on this at a later date.
The jazz funeral ended with followers waving their kerchiefs at the Cafe du Monde with complimentary coffee and beignets for everyone.
Can you imagine how thrilled humble Bill is to be respected enough to stop traffic for 12 blocks through the French Quarter. There was even a cloud cover and a breeze for part of the walk.
The funeral continued at 4:00 p.m. at the Ponchatoula Cemetery. When we arrived, we heard jazz music playing & then saw Reggie Sanders and a four man combo coming to play in honor of Bill. What a wonderful, thoughtful tribute! Many northshore friends & family came to say their last good bye’s to an extraordinary man.
Don’t forget, Bill is still praying for you.
WE LOVE YOU!

What an amazing Jazz Fest 2009. Great music, great weather and great art. Bill continues to have a tremendous following; it’s fun to be a part of the Jazz Fest family. Even Quint Davis bought and original this year. Lots of art shipped out of state so lots of packaging and shipping this week and the next.
On to the next event…Braden and I are traveling to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic on Saturday to showcase Bill’s art. This is our first time out of the USA so we are excited.
Bill is starting vitamin C injections with Dr. Mary in New Orleans this week. Please keep him in your prayers. Bill always honors those who buy his art with his prayers.
Bless you all,
Carol
